Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news with WPDE-TV. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax responses of police officers in response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. As well as her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC.
